18th Edition Amendment 2
You must hold a current 18th Edition qualification to complete the Top Up Course. If you do not hold this qualification, we run a 3-day 18th Edition course. Please let us know if you need further information.
Being a theory-based qualification, the training is conducted in the classroom, working through our centre copies of the BS7671:2018 manuals alongside both practice papers, and a PowerPoint presentation covering the updates since 2015. Copies of BS7671:2018 are available for use in centre, however you are more than welcome to bring your own.
BS7671:2018 Amendment 2 (2022) is assessed via an online theory paper consisting of 60 questions over 2 hours; requiring the mark of 60% or above to pass. This multiple-choice paper will be completed in the afternoon in centre, with the results being loaded to our office immediately after completion.
The 18th Edition Top Up Course is completed in 1 day and is charged at only £195 + VAT
This includes; your registration for assessment, access to a copy of the BS7671:2018 Amendment 2 (2022) manual whilst in centre, training, assessment and certification fees.

Can I/We book all the practical training sessions as soon as I/We enrol?
No, each practical training session is made available to you as soon as you complete the workbooks and training module associated with the practical session. You will however be provided multiple dates if needed due to prior commitments or you cannot attend one for any reason.
What is the turn around time of marking for the home study learning?
Our average turn around time for marking of workbooks is a week but we do have in our expectations document a turnaround time of 2 weeks in case of busy periods and an influx of work for our training team.
In regards to the portfolio, does this have to be completed after the package?
No, this is included in the list of topics covered and in the timeframe to complete your course and can be completed in your practical session should you need too. All writing up onto the e-learning platform is completed from the comfort of your own home but the practical portfolio, photographic evidence and any associated documentation can be completed in centre during your package.
