What’s New in Apprenticeship Funding?
From 1st August 2026, funding will now cover apprentices up to the age of 25, expanding opportunities for young talent across Hampshire and beyond. On top of this, you could be eligible to claim up to £5,000 in employer incentives! Here’s how it breaks down:
Incentives You Can Claim
- £2,000 Hiring Payment: Available for new apprentices under 25 starting from 1st October 2026 (backdated to enrolments from 1st July 2026).
- £1,000 Bonus: For apprentices aged 16–18, or 19–24 with an Education, Health and Care (EHC) plan or care leaver status.
- £3,000 Youth Jobs Grant: For eligible young people aged 18–24 who have been on Universal Credit for 6+ months.
