Course Entry Requirements

This course has no prerequisites and is open to any candidate wishing to branch into the plumbing industry.  This package has the ability to take its candidates from complete novices in pipework to recognised plumbers; meaning on successful completion a candidate could work for themselves or have an industry recognised qualification.

Course Description

Our course is completed over two in centre modules with a portfolio element required included in these modules.  Each module is booked separately to attend centre on the completion of the self study provided prior to attendance via our online learning platform.  On completion of the training both self study and practical, you will be required to build your portfolio. The portfolio requirements will be explained in full detail on the induction of your course, arranged by ourselves in centre and full support provided for this during the time of completion.  You will have access to an online portfolio platform whereby you can upload your work alongside method statements and notes to be marked by our dedicated team and feedback provided.  On completion of the portfolio the final sign offs, assessments and modules are scheduled.

-Cold water system installation and maintenance
-Know and apply domestic above ground drainage system installation and maintenance
-Electrical installation of plumbing systems and components
-Energy, waste and water conservation
-Hand and power tools
-Hot water systems installation and maintenance
-Plumbing science, principles and practice
-Water Supply Regulations and Byelaws
-Central heating circuits
-Working practices in the plumbing sector
-Portfolio building
-Assessments
-Design, quoting and communication skills for a real life working environment
-Business set up support
Our training in centre comprises of both theory and practical, on a ratio of 8 candidates to 1 trainer to ensure the undivided attention provided to gain the highest level of knowledge retention.

The qualification obtained within successful completion of this course are;

LCL Awards Level 2 Diploma (and NVQ Diploma) in the Installation & Maintenance of Plumbing & Heating Systems

Our course comprises of two modules in total with full details listed in our course description.
Our centre opens from 8.30am until 3.30pm for candidates and sessions are run with an hour lunch break each day.
Priced at £3995+vat this course has included all training, assessments, registration and certification fees, access to the e-learning platform for portfolio ad normative normative reference documents.

Your general course questions answered

To process a booking, we require some personal details, these include full name, date of birth, national insurance number, postal address, company name and copies of any pre-requisites for the qualification you are undertaking

For any courses under £1999 plus vat payment is required upfront to be booked, for any courses £2000 or over plus vat a 50% deposit is payable with the final balance due within 30 days or two weeks prior to the course commencement date (whichever comes first).

On successful completion of your assessments your portfolio will be internally verified and then sent for processing to the relevant certification body, this in whole takes a maximum of 25 working days.
