This course has no prerequisites and is open to any candidate wishing to branch into the electrical industry. This package has the ability to take its candidates from complete novices in electrics to recognised and registered electricians; meaning on successful completion registration with a Competent Person Scheme such as Napit.

The course is primarily focussed on your learning from the comfort of your own home. Our training material along with the books and normative documentation (Electricity at work regulations, Approved Document P) give you what is needed to be successful in gaining the knowledge you require to attain your qualifications.
For the practical sessions and assessment, you will be invited periodically once you have completed the appropriate knowledge development sections. This will be based over potentially six months depending on your progress. An example has been listed below:
Month 1:
You will be issued with Health & Safety PowerPoints and an online Home Assessment. Upon completion of these you will be invited into the Training Centre based in Havant, Hampshire for one day, to complete a Trainer guided course induction and to sit your first online unit on Health & Safety (Q001)
Month 2:
Your theory modules to complete are all about Cables and Circuitry, Protective Devices and Design and Verification equations. You will be invited into the centre or one day for an orientation on the expectations of the Design Scenario and Electrical scenarios (Q007) that you are required to complete as part of your portfolio.
Month 3:
For this part of the course, you will be required to attend the centre for 10 busy days. In this time, you will install and form different types of containment and circuit systems. You will also have the opportunity to construct a simulated installation and fully initially verify and complete certificates for Assessment 6 (Q006) and 9 (Q009) of your portfolio. The rest of your portfolio will need to be completed off site at a location of your choosing, your Assessor will give you guidance of what needs to be completed (This equates to approximately two to three jobs).
Month 4:
For study at home you will have training material on Initial Verification of Electrical Installations, supported by Guidance Note 3 and two days in centre carrying out practical assessments and papers (Q004).
Month 5:
You will complete exams 2 (Q002), 3 (Q003) and 5 (Q005) in centre and be given a Electrical Testing recap. After this, you will then have faults identification training and a faults practical assessment. This will take place over three days.
Month 6
Will be the culmination of you training where you will sit the exam for Requirements for Electrical installations BS7671:2018+A2:2022 (18th Edition, Amendment 2), booked for one day in centre and assuming that it has been completed, your portfolio will be signed off by your assessor.
All training materials and tools are provided within centre that you will require to complete any training, practical works and assessments.

To process a booking, we require some personal details, these include full name, date of birth, national insurance number, postal address, company name and copies of any pre-requisites for the qualification you are undertaking
For any courses under £1999 plus vat payment is required upfront to be booked, for any courses £2000 or over plus vat a 50% deposit is payable with the final balance due within 30 days or two weeks prior to the course commencement date (whichever comes first).
On successful completion of your assessments your portfolio will be internally verified and then sent for processing to the relevant certification body, this in whole takes a maximum of 25 working days.
