We are thrilled to launch our new and improved NVQ Level 3 Electrotechnical Apprenticeship. For over 11 years, we’ve refined our career-changer programme to create an apprenticeship like no other. We believe in providing the most comprehensive, hands-on training the electrical industry has ever seen.
Unlike traditional programmes, our focus is on real-world skills gained in realistic working environments. This isn’t about simply attending a class; it’s about a direct path to a new career. We provide a complete, stress-free journey to becoming a fully qualified professional. Read our blog on becoming an Electrician here!
Our programme is designed for everyone, from ages 16 to 65. Whether you have no prior experience or you’re a working electrician looking to formalise your qualifications, you can apply. We also welcome apprentices who may be looking to transfer from a different programme. If you’re unsure if you qualify, just reach out to us with your situation, and we’ll be happy to provide guidance. Find out more on the Gov website here!
Our apprenticeship programme runs for up to 48 months and includes a mix of in-centre training and on-the-job experience.
When you enrol with us, you get everything you need to become a skilled, competent, and fully certified Electrician. You’ll be guided by expert trainers who are committed to helping you gain the confidence to thrive in the industry.
Our process is straightforward:
Safety is paramount in the electrical industry. Apprentices will learn to prepare and complete a detailed risk assessment for their work environment. You will be observed as you perform live, practical exercise in safely isolating an electrical installation before you begin work, including:
You will carry out a variety of installation and maintenance tasks according to specific industry standards. This includes working with new technologies and a wide range of circuits, such as:
A key part of your training will be learning to test installations in full compliance with the British Standard and other associated guidance documents. You will have access to these documents for reference throughout the course. This module includes:
Apprentices will develop their diagnostic skills by interrogating electrical installations and identifying a range of faults on simulated faulty circuits. This hands-on experience will involve:
Identifying and professionally reporting a variety of common and complex faults.
Technical skill is crucial, but so is communication. We teach you to professionally interact with clients, explain complex issues clearly, and build trust through transparent quotes and great service. Strong communication leads to positive reviews and helps you grow your business.
We’ll train you to be an expert problem-solver. Learn advanced diagnostic techniques to quickly find the root cause of an issue, not just a symptom. This high-level skill, using specialised equipment and logical procedures, is what makes you an exceptional tradesperson.
The industry is always changing. We’ll give you a solid understanding of current regulations (like BS 7671) and the importance of continuous learning. Staying up-to-date ensures you remain compliant, safe, and competitive throughout your entire career.
Up to 24 months to complete
Our career changer packages are designed to take you from a complete beginner to a confident and skilled tradesperson, ready to start your own business. We go beyond simple training by providing you with the tools and connections you need to succeed.
You’ll gain all the practical skills for your chosen trade and receive essential business guidance, including introductions to accountants, marketing experts, and suppliers. This support starts before you even finish your course, so by the time you’re qualified, your business can be ready to launch.
With our passionate team and a tailored learning plan, you’ll gain the skills and qualifications needed to secure your own registration with a scheme like NICEIC or NAPIT, and get to work making your dream a reality.
