This course is designed for qualified gas engineers who want to expand their scope of work by adding new domestic gas appliance qualifications. It is also the ideal pathway for those needing to reassess their existing certifications every five years to maintain their Gas Safe registration.

Course Entry Requirements

To be eligible for this course, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Gas Safe Registration: You must have been on the Gas Safe Register for a minimum of 12 months.
  • Proof of Registration: You must provide a valid Gas Safe card as evidence upon booking.

You can complete your reassessment up to six months before your existing certificate expires, with the additional time being added to the validity of your new ticket.

 

What’s Covered?

We offer single-appliance modules, allowing you to choose the specific qualifications you need. Each module is a self-contained course that can be completed over half a day to a full day. The following qualifications are available:

  • CENWAT: Central Heating Boilers and Water Heaters
  • CKR1: Domestic Gas Cookers
  • HTR1: Domestic Gas Fires
  • MET1: Domestic Gas Meters
  • DAH1: Domestic Warm Air Heaters

Each module includes:

  • Training: Focused instruction on the specific appliance.
  • Assessments: Practical and theoretical evaluations.
  • Certification Fees: All costs for gaining your new qualification.
  • Refreshments: Provided throughout your time at our centre.

By taking these modules, you can efficiently and effectively add to your skillset, ensuring you stay up-to-date and compliant with industry standards.

Air Source Heat Pumps Course

This qualification enables those with industry qualifications (gas, heating or plumbing) to expand into the renewables sector.

12-18 months

ACS Domestic Gas Apprenticeship

Our government and/or Levy funded ACS Domestic Gas Apprenticeship, available for those aged 16-65 years old, with regular enrolment, run one day a week for 12-18 months. We don’t close for the school holidays.
