Commercial Mobile Catering Gas Course (CoNGLPG1 CMC)

With the rise of festivals, street food markets, and outdoor events, the demand for qualified gas engineers in the mobile catering sector has never been higher.

Following recent industry updates in Gas Safe Magazine regarding “gas safety and outdoor catering,” it is more important than ever to ensure you are working within your legal scope. To sign off mobile catering equipment, engineers must hold the CoNGLPG1 CMC qualification.

What does this course include?

This course offers two distinct pathways, allowing you to know the option that best aligns with your prior experience and the qualifications you currently hold. Each route is designed to cater to individuals at different stages in their educational and professional journey, ensuring that you receive the most appropriate and effective learning experience based on your background and ensure you can add these elements to your • • Gas Safe registration.
• LPG supply pressures – operation and positioning of emergency isolation, flow controls and valves for cylinders
• LPG cylinder location, safety and sizing
• Ventilation
• Temporary LPG Pipework in Gazebos, tents and other ‘build ups’
• Installation or chimneys / extraction systems

OPTION 1 – New to catering

If you do not currently hold a Commercial Catering qualification, you MUST hold an in-date domestic core qualification (CCN1) OR commercial heating (COCN1). You will complete our domestic core to catering (CODC1), commercial catering appliances 1, 3 and 5 (COMCAT 1,3,5), change over to LPG mobile catering units (CoNGLPG1 CMC) qualifications.
This option is completed over 6 days, split into 2 sessions, costed at £1250+vat. Payment will need to be made in full at the time of booking, this price includes all registrations, a copy of ‘Code Of Practice 24’ to keep & certification fees.

OPTION 2 – Experienced with catering

If you already hold Commercial Catering either CCCN1 or CODC1 and COMCATs 1,3 and 5. You will need to complete (CoNGLPG1 CMC).
This option is completed over 2-3 days in one block session, costed at £595+vat. Payment will need to be made in full at the time of booking, this price includes all registrations, a copy of ‘Code Of Practice 24’ & Commercial Catering LCL Awards training manual to keep and certification fees.
