This course is for experienced gas engineers who hold the Core Domestic Gas Safety (CCN1) qualification and are ready to expand their expertise into the commercial sector or those that already hold the Commercial Gas qualifications and need to have them reassessed. By completing this programme, you will gain the essential certifications to work on commercial heating gas installations.

Course Entry Requirements

To be eligible for this course, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Gas Safe Registration: You must have been registered on the Gas Safe Register for a minimum of 12 months.
  • Proof of Registration: You must provide evidence of your Gas Safe registration upon booking.

You can complete this course up to six months before your existing qualification expires, and the additional time will be added to the validity of your new certificate.

 

What’s Covered?

This comprehensive six-day course is designed to transition your skills from domestic to commercial gas work. It covers both intensive training and practical assessments for the following modules:

  • CODNCO1: Changeover from Domestic to Commercial gas work.
  • ICPN1: Installation and first-fix procedures for commercial pipework.
  • TPCP1A: Strength testing, tightness testing, and direct purging for commercial installations up to 1m³ in volume or 6 inches in diameter.
  • CDGA1: Direct-fired commercial appliances.
  • CIGA1: Indirect-fired commercial appliances.
  • CORT1: Overhead radiant plaque and radiant tube heaters.

You will spend four days in the first week and another two days in the following week to complete the full training and assessment for TPCP1A.

Upon successful completion, you will be qualified to work on a wide range of commercial gas appliances and systems, Gas Safe will automatically be notified of your qualifications on certification.
