This 3-day course is for anyone new to the electrical industry. It provides the foundational knowledge of the latest wiring regulations as set out in BS7671:2018 Amendment 2 (2022). While this course gives you the essential regulations qualification, remember that to become a fully qualified electrician, you will also need to hold a Level 3 qualification.

Who is this Course For?

There are no entry requirements to enrol onto this course. It is ideal for:

  • New entrants to the electrical industry.
  • Apprentices or trainees needing their regulations qualification.
  • Anyone who needs to gain a solid understanding of the latest wiring regulations.

 

What You’ll Learn

The course is designed to prepare you for the official examination. You will work through the key regulations and standards, ensuring you are fully prepared for the final assessment.

  • Regulations: In-depth coverage of all the criteria in BS7671:2018 Amendment 2 (2022).
  • Theory: A comprehensive review of the theoretical knowledge needed to pass the exam.

We will provide a copy of the BS7671:2018 Amendment 2 (2022) manual for you to use in the center. If you wish to purchase your own copy to keep, we have them available.

 

Assessment & Certification

The qualification is assessed via an online, multiple-choice theory exam.

  • Questions: The exam consists of 60 questions.
  • Duration: You will have 2 hours to complete the paper.
  • Pass Mark: A score of 60% or above is required to pass.

The exam results are loaded to our office immediately after you complete the paper. Upon successful completion, you will gain the Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671:2018. The course fee is all-inclusive, covering your registration, training, assessments, and certification fees.

Our 4-day Combined Verification and Certification course gives you the Level 3 Award in the Initial Verification, Periodic Inspection Testing, Condition Reporting and Certification of Electrical Installations certified by LCL Awards, covering both Initial and Periodic Inspections to help you issue compliant certificates and reports. No prerequisites needed.
